Welcome to Wild Acoustic Music Co! We are a musical instrument store and gift shop in the small, Blue Ridge Mountain town of Hendersonville, NC which is just south of Asheville, NC and just north of Greenville, SC. We have been in the Rocky Mountain town of Evergreen, Colorado for the last number of years, and we are excited to be in North Carolina. My name is Ed Sine, founder of Wild Acoustic Music Co. I am a musician, designer, and artist. I grew up in the mountains of West Virginia where I developed a love for acoustic music. I have been playing a wide variety of musical instruments ever since.
Wild Acoustic Music Co is, in fact, a father & son project. Ian Sine is almost always at the shop either demonstrating unusual musical instruments or engaged in artisan woodworking. You have not played a guitar until you have played with one of his famous, handcrafted wood picks. When you stop by, ask him to play the hammered dulcimer, you will definitely want one after hearing him play.
Wild Acoustic Music Co is, indeed, a very special place. It is more of a “music adventure” than a shop. Our focus is on the music and acoustic instruments usually found in Americana, bluegrass, and folk music, but you will also find acoustic instruments from around the world. Some instruments, such as the Moonshine Ukulele, are designed by me personally and made exclusively for Wild Acoustic.
We represent musical instruments that are handmade by artisans and luthiers such as Carl Gotzmer at June Apple Dulcimers, Dana Ross, and Ray Wood. You will also find some brand name instruments such as Washburn, Tycoon Percussion, Schlagwerk, Maple Leaf Strings, Gator Cases, Teton Guitars, and Tagima.
We are now offering music lessons in Guitar, Ukulele, Mandolin, finger style Banjo, Violin & Fiddle, Piano, Dulcimer, Native American Style Flute, and a very unique approach to Percussion.
